The "News Settings" dialog is used for creating the list of authors, presenters, workflow steps and Story types for the Story objects.

News_Settings_authors

On the "Authors" tab press the "Add new" button, specify the author’s name and his reading speed in words per minute.

Note
If reading speed is not specified, the default value is set according to the "Default RR" parameter value defined in "Global parameters".

Check the "Disable" option to disable temporarily the author from appearance in the authors list in Story Editor.

Press the "Save" button to create a new author. It will be added to the table below.

To refresh the list of authors, use the "Refresh" button.

To delete the specified author, select it in the table and press the "Delete" button.

The same procedure works for managing the list of presenters on the "Presenters" tab.

Workflow Steps

The "Workflow steps" tab within the "News Settings" dialog allows you to manage workflow steps lists for the Story objects.

To add a new workflow step, press the "Add new" button; enter the desired step name via the keyboard and specify its order value by pressing the audit_up_down_buttonsbuttons or via the keyboard.

Note
It is possible to assign the same order value for several workflow steps. In this case, such steps will be arranged alphabetically in the workflow steps list.

Pressing the corresponding "Select" button you can assign font and background colors that will be displayed in the "step name" column of the "News Settings" dialog:

Note
To enable the background color selecting function, remove the selection of the "Transparent" checkbox.

The font and background color settings will also be applied for the "Workflow step" column in the News Manager dialog in Cinegy Desktop:

Story Types

The "Story types" tab allows user to create different Story types for the Story objects and individually specify the font and background colors for each type:

To add a new Story type, press the "Add new" button; enter the desired type name via the keyboard and specify its order value by pressing the audit_up_down_buttonsbuttons or via the keyboard.
