This panel comprises capturing parameters and controls of the currently selected Capture Service:
The upper part of this panel displays the status pane containing the following fields:
Engine name – the name of the currently selected Engine.
Engine license – the license information. The color indication reflects the current status of the license. If the license is not detected for a certain period of time, the corresponding information will be displayed next to the "Engine license" field.
Video format – the TV format of the currently selected Engine.
Audio channels – the number of audio channels of the currently selected Engine.
Engine status – the current status of the selected Engine.
Job status – indicates the current job status or the last executed job status.
Capture template – the active Engine template used for the recording session. Select the template from the drop-down list that comprises all the available Engine templates as well as PCS storage templates of the video format that matches the Capture Engine TV format:
Choose the "Create new" option to create a new template for the currently selected Engine.Important
Refer to the Templates Panel article for details about templates creation and management.
The validity of the selected template is performed automatically which is respectively indicated either in green or red. An invalid template is indicated by the color red, additionally, the problem description is provided under the template name:
Pressing the "Filter" button will display only compatible engine and PCS templates in the drop-down list.
Press the "Edit" button to change the currently selected template, if needed.
Mark In and Mark Out
Use the corresponding buttons to set In and Out points:
This control allows the user to capture a defined segment of video material received either from the RTP/UDP stream or a videoboard.
Press the "Mark In" button to set the In point on the current point of your video material. Alternatively, use the keyboard to enter the start timecode value.
Press the "Clear mark In" button to delete the In point.
|To ensure a smooth start of capture session, the system will initialize the ingest process before the specified "In" timecode is reached. The actual number of the additionally pre-processed frames depends on the pre-roll time defined in the "Device control" settings of your board. These pre-roll frames will not be captured. Refer to the Capture Source article for details.|
Press the "Mark Out" button to set the Out point on the current point of your video material. Alternatively, use the keyboard to enter the end timecode.
The duration is calculated automatically:
Press the "Clear mark Out" button to delete the Out point.
|You can enter the duration value in the "Duration" field; the Out point will be calculated automatically.|
|You can change the Out point and duration values on-the-fly during recording, if needed.|
Sending to Batch List
|Composing a batch list is only available for the SDI input source used with device control enabled. Refer to the Capture Source paragraph for more information on capture source configuration.|
Press the "Mark In" and "Mark Out" buttons to set the In and Out points of your video material.
Having set the In and Out points, press the "To Batch" button to send the batch list to the Scheduler Panel [Batch].

The capture session management is performed with the following buttons:
Having selected the valid template, you are ready to start the capture session. Press the "REC" button to start your capture session; you can monitor this process in real-time.
Press the "SPLIT" button during the capture session to force a new Roll / file creation starting from the current position.
Press the "STOP" button to stop a running capture session.
The timecode monitoring window displays the playback/recording progress:
In recording mode, the total duration of the current capture session is displayed in the "Recording time" field next to "Job status" and in the upper right corner of the timecode monitor window:

In compact view, the Capture panel displays the Engine license type and the "Capture status" field, reporting the capture state:

Cinegy Capture offers a familiar set of buttons used to control the connected video equipment that resemble those of a standard tape deck:
Use these buttons to play, rewind or fast forward your source. To stop this activity, press the "Stop" button on the Capture controls window.
