The following capture source types are currently supported:

AJA Video Board

The following settings can be configured for this input device type:

Engine_AJA_parameters
  • Board number – the AJA board number.

Caution
To avoid unexpected failures, specify the corresponding video board number.
  • Video input – the video input type used for capturing.

  • Analog input format – the format type for the analog video capturing.

  • Audio input – the audio input type.

  • Reference source – the reference source for the AJA board.

  • Channel number – the channel number of the board. From the drop-down list select the required number from 0 to 7 for multichannel board or "Full board" for a single channel card configuration.

  • PsF – check this option when input signal is provided as Progressive Segmented Frames (PSF) instead of pure Progressive.

  • SDI mapping – select from the drop-down list the required mode to be used for capturing session.

    Note
    Please note that the SDI mapping option is available only for UHD formats.
  • Device control – enables/disables device control and specifies the pre-roll time in seconds, as well as the port used for control.

File-based Capture

For this input device you specify the file path:

File input device should be used only as a diagnostic input.

MPEG-TS Transport Streams

To set up capturing from the MPEG-TS stream, specify the following parameters:

Engine_RTP_parameters
  • URL – specify MPEG-TS source stream’s URLs.

    Note
    The SRT protocol is currently supported in unicast mode only.

Browse with Cinegy Route

Press the "Browse" button to browse for the registered stream via Cinegy Route MPEG-TS stream.

Note
The "Browse" button is enabled if Cinegy Route Browser is installed and available on the machine running Cinegy Capture Manager.
  • Multicast interface – use the drop-down list to select the IP address of the local network adapter to be used to get the stream. This can be useful when you need to divide the multicasting subnet from the working subnet.

  • Enable GPU Decoding – enables/disables GPU acceleration. To activate, check this option and use the drop-down lists to define "GPU manufacturer" and "Target NVidia GPU".

For this input device you should specify the following parameters:

Engine_Blackmagic_parameters
  • Board number – the Blackmagic Decklink board number.

  • Device control – enables/disables device control and specifies the pre-roll time in seconds.

DVS Input Device

For the DVS Centaurus family specify the following parameters:

Engine_DVS_Centaurus_parameters
  • Board number – the DVS Centaurus board number.

  • Channel number – use the drop-down list to choose the channel number of the selected board.

  • Device control – enables/disables device control and specifies the pre-roll time in seconds.

Deltacast Video Board

For this input device specify the following parameters:

Engine_DeltaCast_parameters
  • Board number – the Deltacast board number.

  • Channel number – define the channel number of the selected board from 0 to 7.

  • PsF – check this option when input signal is provided as Progressive Segmented Frames (PSF) instead of pure Progressive.

  • SDI mapping – select from the drop-down list the required mode to be used for the capturing session.

Shared RAM

For Shared RAM Source specify the following parameters:

Shared_RAM_parameters
  • Input name – define the name for your input Shared RAM device.

  • Global namespace – check the option to enable sharing between several users on the machine, or between applications and services.

AJA IP Video Board

Note
The AJA IP Video Board is only available for SD and HD TV formats.
aja_ip_parameters

The parameters for the AJA IP settings are split into several groups.

Main Settings

  • Board number – define the board number.

  • Channel number – use the drop-down list to select the channel number from 0 to 7.

  • Reference source – define the reference source for the AJA IP video board by choosing between Free Run, Reference Input or IP Input of the corresponding number.

  • PsF – check this option when input signal is provided as Progressive Segmented Frames (PSF) instead of pure Progressive.

Top SFP Settings

  • IP – define the appropriate SFP IP address in the address field.

  • Mask – enter the appropriate SFP IP Address and Subnet Mask.

  • Gateway – specify your Gateway SFP address.

Note
"Bottom SFP" settings are similar to those defined for "Top SFP".

Input Filter Settings

Here, "Primary" and "Secondary" AJA IP filter settings should be defined. Check the options below to define the following parameters:

  • Source IP – define the source IP address.

  • Source port – define the source port number.

  • Destination IP – enter the destination IP address.

  • Destination port – enter the destination port number.

  • SSRC – define the unique synchronization source.

  • VLAN – define the VLAN interface number.

Select the "SMPTE 2022-7" checkbox to specify the secondary port parameters similarly to the primary ones.

NewTek NDI

  • NDI channel name – define the "NDI channel name" in the respective field manually or press the "Discover…​" button. The revealed "Discovered NDI sources" form enables the selection of all the discovered channels:

    Select the required channel and press the "OK" button to apply the changes.

    refresh_NDI_discovery_for_channels

    Press the "Refresh" button to refresh the list of discovered channels.

    Note
    Please note that the procedure of Discovering NDI streams may take some time. This depends on the settings and the network speed, as well as on the number of streams being scanned. In such a case, the "Refresh" button can be pressed several times until all streams are displayed in the window.
  • Input mode – choose the required NDI streaming mode from the drop-down list: Video/Audio, Video only, Audio only according to your stream specification.

Deltacast IP Video Board

For Deltacast IP capture source define the settings described in detail below.

Main Settings

  • Board number – define the Deltacast IP board number.

  • Channel number – use the arrow buttons to define the channel number of the selected board from 0 to 7.

  • PsF – check this option when input signal is provided as Progressive Segmented Frames (PSF) instead of pure Progressive.

SFP Settings

  • SFP 1 IP & port – define the appropriate SFP 1 IP address in the address field; use the arrow buttons to define SFP 1 IP port number.

  • SFP 2 IP & port – define the SFP 2 IP address in the address field; use the arrow buttons to define SFP 2 IP port number.

  • SSRC – define the unique synchronization source.

WebCam

To set up capturing from a Web camera, you need to have a Web camera connected. Once the camera is found, specify the following parameters:

Web_cam_parameters
  • Video source – choose the appropriate video device from the drop-down list.

  • Audio source – choose the corresponding audio device from the drop-down list.

Note
The "Video source" and "Audio source" lists depend on the hardware installed on the current PC.
Tip
As the native resolution of web cameras does not always correspond to standard TV formats, you may assign any TV format for capturing from this source. Further on the frame size will be interpolated to the one specified in the Engine settings.
