Scheduler Panel

This panel allows a user to schedule recordings. It automatically controls the capture schedule to start / stop recording sessions and can be also controlled from the web via Cinegy Capture Planner.

In the "Schedule date" field specify the date for the capture session schedule via the Arrow_left and Arrow_right arrows or by pressing the calendar_icon icon and choosing the date from the calendar:

You can edit the schedule for any future date, including the current day (this is highlighted in the calendar).

Add_button

Press the "Add" button to add a new schedule entry to the list; the following form appears:

Note	The parameters available for setup depend on the template type chosen: standalone or archive.

General Tab

In the "General" tab, specify the following parameters:

Start – the date and time of the planned recording session start.

End – the date and time of the planned recording session end.

Tip

It is possible to change/extend the end recording time for live shows, even if it has already started. It is not allowed to enter the end recording time earlier than the current time or intersecting with the start time of next scheduled recording session. It cannot be set less than 5 seconds before the start of the next task.

Scheduler event – the schedule event name.
Template – the active engine template to be used for the planned recording session; use the drop-down list of the available templates to select the required one.
Target folder – the target folder path within your Cinegy Archive database in which the target Roll(s) will be created during the planned recording session; use the "…" button to choose the folder.
Description – the custom text describing the recording.

Events

Cinegy Capture allows users to add events to currently scheduled recording which are controllable via the secondary events through Cinegy Event Manager:

Add_secondary_event

Press the "Add" button to add the secondary event; the following dialog box appears:

Here, define the following parameters:

Event preset – select the event preset created via Cinegy Capture Manager to be applied.
Type – select the type of event initialization, which determines whether the event occurs before or after the scheduled task.
Offset – define the time delay in seconds between the secondary event and the corresponding recording session start.

Having configured all the options, press the "OK" button for the secondary event to be added.

edit_event

To modify an event, select it from the list and use the "Edit" button.

delete_event

To remove unnecessary event, select it from the list and use the "Delete" button.

Recurrence Tab

Once you have set up a planned recording, you can set it to recur by selecting the "Use recurrence" option and specifying the corresponding parameters:

Note	If recurrence is applied for a new planned task, a "task’s series" entry will be added to the caption of the configuration window for your convenience.

Recurrence pattern – sets how often the planned recording occurs in the calendar. There are different patterns of daily, weekly and monthly recurrence.
- Daily – allows a user to set the recording to recur every weekday or every specific number of days.
- Weekly – allows a user to select the day(s) of the week for the planned recording.
- Monthly – allows a user to set the recurrence to a particular date of the month or select first, second, third, fourth or last and specify the day of the week used for recording recurrence.

Range of recurrence – specifies when recurring starts and stops. The recording can be set to end after a specific number of occurrences or to end by a specific date.

Metadata Tab

This tab is used to manage template metadata of the planned recording session.

Note	The list of metadata fields depends on the template type as well as on Cinegy Archive database settings. Metadata marked as mandatory in the Cinegy Archive database is labelled with a red circle and should be filled before the Capture recording begins. Once filled, the circle turns green.

Note	Enter the "%" symbol in the corresponding text field to open a tooltip with a list of available macros. The unique GUID is automatically generated and always added to the name of the output file(s).

All the planned recordings for a particular day are listed on the Scheduler panel in a table representation with the following parameters: recording name, start and end time, actual status of the recording and its recur mode (displayed as an icon). Under the "Owner" column the application name (Capture Control or Capture Planner) in which the planned recording task was created, is represented:

Edit_link

Press the "Edit" link next to the corresponding planned recording to edit its parameters. This option is only available for planned recordings added via the Scheduler panel.

show_planned_recording_details

Press the "Show" link to view the details of the planned recording created via the Cinegy Capture Planner application.

remove_engine

Press this button next to the relevant planned recording to delete it.

Scheduler Panel [Batch]

The Scheduler Panel [Batch] substitutes the Scheduler Panel when the SDI input source is used with device control enabled.

Important

Refer to the Capture Source paragraph for more information on capture source configuration.

The Scheduler Panel [Batch] looks as follows:

In order to start scheduled batch recordings, add the batch entries manually or load previously created batch file.

Adding An Item

Add_button

Press the "Add" button to add a new schedule entry; the following form appears:

Note	The configuration here is similar to one for scheduling recordings via the Scheduler panel with a slight difference in the "Start" and "End" parameters which indicate the predefined start and end timecode values and absence of the recurrence settings.

clear_batch_items

Press the "Clear All" button to remove all batch items. You will be prompted to confirm your decision.

Import and Export Batch Items

Press the "Import/Load" button to open the "Import batch items" configuration window:

Here, select the template to be used for the batch tasks import and press "Open file" to browse for the batch file.

Once the batch file is uploaded, the imported batch items are listed in a table representation with the following parameters: name of the imported task, In and Out timecodes and the template to be used for the recording:

export_save_batch

Press the "Export/Save" button to export the batch items according to the template configuration.

Batch Recording

Once the batch tasks are scheduled, you can start the batch recording.

Press the "B.REC" button to start your batch capture session.

stop_button

Press the "B.STOP" button to stop a running batch capture session.
