Step 1: Cinegy Capture Installation

Prerequisites

Caution
 It is required to install critical Windows updates before the application installation.
Caution
 Installation of .NET Framework 4.6.1 or later is required prior to the Cinegy Capture installation. In case online installation takes place, the web installer will update the system components, if necessary. The offline installer can be used if the web installer is unavailable due to the lack of Internet connection. In this case, make sure that the .NET Framework 4.5 is activated as a Windows feature, then download the corresponding offline installer package directly from the Microsoft website. After the .NET Framework 4.6.1 is installed, the OS reboot is required. Otherwise, the installation may fail.

Make sure the machine you are using has the required Microsoft Windows operating system installed along with the recommended service packs. Details are available in the system recommendations document.

Download the latest Cinegy Capture installation package from the partner portal or the user portal or visit the official Cinegy website to download a trial version of Cinegy Capture, which you can evaluate free of charge.

Note
 You must have at least local administrator rights to install Cinegy Capture components.

Make sure the Cinegy Capture license is applied as per instructions sent along with the Cinegy product evaluation e-mail or obtained directly from your sales manager.

Cinegy Capture Installation

Cinegy Capture has a unified installer that allows installing all components you need. Follow the steps below to install the required Cinegy Capture components.

Capture Installation

  1. Run the Cinegy.Capture.Setup.exe file from the Cinegy Capture Server directory of your Cinegy Capture installation package. The Cinegy Capture setup wizard will be launched.

  2. Read and accept the license agreement and proceed with installation.

  3. Select "All-in-one" installation mode. The package components available for the installation will be listed in the dialog that appears.

    Note
    		 For demo purposes, we recommend installing only the minimum of required components: Cinegy Capture Control and Cinegy Capture Server.

    Press the "Next" button for selected product components to be installed with their default settings.

  4. Check whether your system is ready for installation; press the "Install" button to begin installation. A progress bar will show the progress of the installation process.

  5. The final dialog will inform you that the installation is complete. Press the "Close" button to exit the setup wizard.
