About Cinegy Cinescore
Cinegy Cinescore is a standalone portable application. It is aimed at assessing the user machine performance through scoring. Test results are reported in graphical representation. The obtained results analysis enables user to determine whether the computer running this tool has optimal performance for particular tasks.
The Cinegy Cinescore portable package includes a "Cinescore.exe" startup file and the "Date_x_x_x.cinepack" file with video samples and profiles.
|Installation of .NET Framework 4.6.1 or later is required before running Cinegy Cinescore. The minimum OS version required is Windows 7 SP1.|
To launch the application, run the "Cinescore.exe" file; the following window appears:
Once Cinegy Cinescore is launched, the current machine configuration details are displayed in the "About" section. In case test results from other machine(s) are loaded, the current machine configuration details will be replaced with the ones from the given report:
The "About" section presents a summary view of basic details about the current machine, including information about the operating system this computer is running, both central and graphics processing units models, the amount of random-access memory (RAM) installed, as well as Cinecoder and Cinescore versions in use.
Press "Run tests" to measure the average CPU/GPU load and calculate the CPU/GPU score.
Press the "More" button to run custom tests to measure the average CPU/GPU load and calculate the CPU/GPU score for selected profiles subset.
In the "Run custom test" dialog that appears, define the profiles groups to be included to the tests subset. By default, all profiles groups are selected, uncheck the unnecessary ones in the list and press the "Run test" button to proceed:
In case the "Date_x_x_x.cinepack" file with video samples and profiles is missing in the Cinegy Cinescore portable package, the following error message appears:
Follow the instructions given in the message and press the "Run tests" button.
The following "Cinegy Cinescore PC Performance" dialog appears:
Here the intermediate results of profiles testing are displayed real-time. Profiles in the lists are marked with the following symbols:
A profile is currently being processed.
A profile is processed successfully.
A profile is processed with error(s) or testing of this profile is cancelled by user. Click the profile marked with this symbol to see the error message:
The utility reads a sample footage into RAM, and then encodes it automatically.
At any time during the test or on its completion, you can view the CPU, GPU, and FPS values for any profile tested. To do this, select any profile (tested or being tested) in the list and hover the mouse over the desired graph:
|All the profiles for testing are processed one by one; thus, the procedure may take a while. The list of profiles sets is given below.|
Upon tests completion, the results are automatically reported in the graphical representation. The received information is split into four tabs under the "Encoding results" section with the detailed characteristics of the FPS (avg), CPU load (avg), GPU Video Engine load (avg), and Machine configuration values displayed accordingly:
|If you run custom tests, the results will be displayed only for selected profiles subset in the corresponding tabs.|
CPU – benchmark that assesses the processor performance through a series of tests.
GPU – benchmark that assesses the graphics hardware performance through a series of tests.
Press the "Save" button to save the results for further comparison and/or analysis. The results will be saved to the defined folder in the CSR file format.The file name displays the corresponding details: the PC name, date and time of the test file creation.
Press the "Load" button to load test results that can be used for scoring analysis. The results will be loaded from a previously saved *.csr file and will override the local machine configuration and test results.
Use the "Encoding results" configuration group to define whether the SD, HD, UHD or 8K standard profiles results will be displayed on the graph:
Average frame rate values are graphically represented on the "FPS (avg)" tab individually for each profile:
Average CPU Load
The results of the average CPU (Central Processing Unit) load on the machine are displayed individually for each profile on the "CPU load (avg)" tab:
Average GPU Video Engine Load
The results of the average GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) video engine load on the machine are displayed here:
The details on the PC configurations, including machine(s) added for comparison are displayed here in the table view:
You can add several reference machines for comparison by clicking the "Compare" > "Add" button:
Then define the Cinegy Cinescore result(s) for comparison by selecting the desired *.csr file (or multiple files) in the dialog that appears:
Please note that there are several reference reports generated by Cinegy that may be used to compare the current machine results with. They are included to the Cinegy Cinescore package by default and are always available in the "Compare" list:
Selected report(s) will be added to the "Compare" list. Define the reference machine(s) in this list to compare your results with. To compare the parameters without having your test results, select the corresponding check boxes of the target reference machines in the "Compare" list.
Each reference machine is displayed on the graph in a different color with the legend shown on the right.
|Please note that results for the profile that has been processed with errors, are not displayed on the graph.|
Having added the machine(s) for comparison, files with their test suites results are saved locally on your computer in the "ReferenceMachines" folder.
To disable the reference machine display, uncheck it in the "Compare" list:
To remove a reference machine from the "Compare" list, use the red cross button next to the required machine name.

These sets of profiles are stored in the "Date_x_x_x.cinepack" file within the Cinegy Cinescore portable package.
