Convert Server Configurator (Legacy)

The Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) configuration tool is used to configure Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) for the defined Cinegy Archive database(s).

The Cinegy Archive databases are set up via Cinegy Configurator. Refer to the Cinegy Configurator article of the Cinegy Desktop Manual to learn how to configure the SQL Server and select the required database. |
To open the configurator, run the CinegyJobServerConfigurator.exe file or go to Start > All Programs > Cinegy > Convert Server Configuration (Legacy); the following dialog appears: |

The Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) configuration window has the following tabs:

Note that each Cinegy Convert job drop folder can be set up individually. Thus, job drop folders of the same type can have different settings. |

The Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) configuration tool should be launched on the computer where Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) is installed and operating. The user should have local administrator rights and the rights to access Cinegy Archive database to define the Convert Server (Legacy) configuration. |
Processing Groups
You can assign a specific set of processing groups to be monitored by Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy). Select the desired job processing group(s) on the "Processing Groups" tab. Cinegy Convert Server (Legacy) will only handle jobs from the selected job processing groups. This allows you to split the execution of tasks between several Cinegy Convert Servers (Legacy).
Press the "Check All" button to select all the listed groups. |

Press the "Check None" button to deselect all the selected processing groups. |
Adding Processing Groups
To add a Cinegy Convert job processing group, right-click on the database name on the "Processing Groups" tab and select the "Add…" context menu command:

The following dialog will appear:

Enter a name for the new processing group and press "OK" to complete its creation.
Later you can rename or remove any processing group(s) using the corresponding context menu commands:

Managing Job Folders in Convert Server Configurator (Legacy)
Convert Server Configurator (Legacy) allows you to manage, i.e. add and/or edit, job folders and job drop folders. This functionality works for all types of Cinegy Convert job folders.
Adding Job Folders
To add a new job folder of the specified type, right-click the "Job Folders" folder on its respective tab and choose the "Add job folder…" context menu command:

The following dialog will appear:

Enter a name for the job folder to be created and press "OK" to complete the action.
The new job folder will be created in the Cinegy Archive database. You can rename or remove the existing job folder using the corresponding context menu commands:

Adding Job Drop Folders
To create a new job drop folder, choose the "Add job drop target…" command from the job folder’s context menu. The following dialog will appear:

Here define the name and type (where available) of the job drop folder to be created and define the processing group for it. Press "OK" to create the job drop folder.
Later you can rename or remove any job drop folder(s) using the corresponding commands from the context menu:
