Cinegy Archive Ingest / Import profiles are used to convert media into Rolls within Cinegy Archive database.

Configure the profile in the following window that appears:

Profile_Editor_Cinegy_Archive_dialog

In case of errors detection, e.g. blank mandatory fields, a red indicator appears specifying their number. Hovering the mouse pointer over the indicator displays a tooltip describing the problem(s).

In this dialog, CAS (Cinegy Archive Service) should be configured as well as general transcoding session parameters and Cinegy Archive database settings should be defined.

Refer to the CAS connection configuration in the Cinegy Convert Watch Service Manual for detailed information on configuring CAS connection.

Generic Configuration

In the "Generic" group define the following parameters:

Generic_parameters

  • Audio type – use the drop-down list to select mono or stereo audio type.

Database

Here define the following parameters:

  • Video format – use the drop-down list to select the target TV format.

  • Media group – use the drop-down list to select the media group for transcoding session.

  • Clip name template – define the template for new clip name generation.

  • Roll name template – define the template for new Roll name generation.

  • File name template – define the file naming template. This field is mandatory. Its default value is {src.name}. Macros can be used in this field.

Please note that unique ID will be automatically appended to the file name to avoid potential clashes with the existing files on the disk.
  • Archive schema – define the trascoding scheme to be used to convert media into multiple quality levels concurrently during a single transcoding session. To do this, click Add_new_task to expand the "Archive schema" block, then press the Profile_Editor_Edit_icon icon next to the required quality field and use the "Set" command to set the default Cinegy Archive schema for respective quality:
    Profile_Editor_Archive_archive_schema_qualities
Alternatively, archive schema configuration can also be accessed by pressing the icon next to the "Archive schema" field and choosing "Custom".

You can manually redefine video and audio encoders of configured qualities by pressing the Profile_Editor_Edit_icon icon and using the "Custom" command.

Ingest Metadata

In the "Ingest metadata" parameters group specify the necessary ingest metadata in the corresponding fields.

The list of ingest metadata fields depends on your database settings.
Refer to the Setting Up Roll Info article in the Cinegy Ingest Manual for details on the ingest metadata configuration.

Having defined all the profile parameters, press "OK"; the configured profile will be added to the list.
