Set up the profile in the following configuration window:
In case of errors detection, e.g. blank mandatory fields, a red indicator appears specifying their number. Hovering the mouse pointer over the indicator displays a tooltip describing the problem(s).
From the "Container" drop-down list, choose the desired multiplexer to be used for converting among the available ones:
Having chosen the required one, you will need to specify its parameters below. Multiplexers of different types have different configuration groups with various parameters to be specified.
The "Generic" configuration group is similar for all multiplexers. The following parameters should be defined here:
Name – define the multiplexer name.
Description – enter the description of the multiplexer, if needed.
Tracks – specify audio and/or video tracks to be used in multiplexer.Important
Refer to the Audio and Video Tracks Configuration paragraph below for detailed description of audio and video tracks setting.
Filename – define the output file name.Important
To automate naming, the filename macro is supported. Refer to the Macros article for details about macro templates.
Outputs – add the output location(s) for the converted file by pressing the icon next to the "Outputs" field:
Use the "Add output" command to add the output location; press to display the added output:
"Empty path" means that the output is not configured yet; press and browse for the output location. It can be marked as "critical" meaning that the failure of this output should cause the transcoding session to abort. Set the "Is critical" option to mark the required location as critical output.
It is possible to add multiple output locations.
Audio and Video Tracks Configuration
Parameters of video track and multiple audio tracks used by any multiplexer can be individually configured by pressing the icon next to the "Tracks" field:
Use the "Add audio track" command to add an audio track or "Add video track" to add a video track; the corresponding track will be added to the "Tracks" list. This operation can be repeated to add one video and multiple audio tracks, if required:
Press this button to expand the tracks block and change the default tracks configurations, if needed:
Each parameter of any track can be configured individually.
Press the icon next to the "Format" field of the required audio or video track and choose the desired format from the list of supported ones which are shown in the table below:
Audio Format Presets
16 bit mono 48000 Hz
16 bit stereo 48000 Hz

By default, the PCM encoder is used in audio profile, and H.264 encoder in video profile. To change the encoder and/or redefine its parameters, press the icon next to the required track field and choose "Edit":
The list of supported codecs differs depending on the track type (audio or video) being configured. The following encoder types are currently supported:
|Audio Encoders||Video Encoders|
H.264 NVidia GPU
HEVC NVidia GPU
MPEG Generic Long GOP
MPEG XDCAM EX
MPEG XDCAM HD
MPEG XDCAM HD422
Some multiplexers have the additional configuration groups with extra parameters to be specified. The list of fields depends on multiplexer type.
Having defined all the profile parameters, press "OK"; the configured profile will be added to the list.
