Cinegy Convert Watch Service is designed for monitoring network shares and Cinegy Archive database job folders.
To enable tasks monitoring, the service should be properly configured with all the necessary credentials defined. To run the Cinegy Convert Watch Service configuration tool, go to Start > All Programs > Cinegy > Cinegy Convert Watch Service > Cinegy Convert Watch Service Configurator. The Cinegy Convert Watch Service Configurator window is launched:
The indicator in the bottom part of the window shows connection of Cinegy Convert Watch Service to PCS.
|Refer to the Cinegy Process Coordination Service Manual for details on running and configuring PCS.|
All the parameters for database connection, Cinegy Process Coordination Service association, as well as tasks configuration and job folders creation are divided into separate tabs.
All the configured tasks are located on the "Watch Folders" tab in a table view as follows:
Press this button to refresh the watch folders list.
The first column is used for selecting the watch folders ready for processing. Next column displays the corresponding task type icon. The "Priority" column shows the priority of processing for each task, which is defined when configuring watch folders as explained later in this section.
High priority tasks are processed first, suspending the medium and low priority ones respectively. Once the higher priority task is completed, the lower priority tasks are resumed automatically.
To remove a watch folder, click the icon in the corresponding field.
When a watch folder is added and configured, select the checkbox in the first table column to enable the task processing.
All configuration changes are retreived automatically before processing new tasks.
|If the checkbox for the required watch folder is not selected, the task processing will not be performed.|
Watch folders filtering is supported to make the work with tasks configuration more convenient. To filter watch folders according to status of their readiness to be processed, use the icon in the first table column. The following options can be defined as filtering conditions:
If the "False" option is enabled, only the watch folders that are not selected as ready for processing are displayed. If the "True" option is enabled, only the watch folders selected for processing are displayed. The "Select All" option enables/disables the filter for all watch folders display.
Press the icon in the "Priority" column to filter watch folders by the default tasks processing priority. The box that appears allows defining the filtering conditions:
Mark the priority of watch folders to be displayed, or enable "Select All" to display all watch folders. It is possible to define one or two filtering conditions using the drop-down lists and defining the value(s) in the field below.
To filter watch folders by names, use the icon in the "Name" column. The following filtering conditions dialog box appears:
Mark the watch folders to be displayed, or enable "Select All" to display all watch folders. It is possible to define one or two filtering conditions using the drop-down lists and defining the value(s) in the field below.
Press the "Match case" button to filter watch folders by name including the character case used in the value field. When the option is enabled, the button becomes green.
To apply the specified filtering conditions, press the "Filter" button.
To discard all filtering conditions, press the "Clear Filter" button.
Press this button to quit the dialog without applying the changes in filtering conditions.
It is also possible to filter watch folders by description. The method is similar to the ones described above.
The columns width can be adjusted according to your needs by placing the mouse pointer on the grid line between the columns and dragging left or right to make it narrower or wider respectively:
Adjusting columns order via drag-and-drop, as well as managing watch folders order by pressing the column headers is also supported.
