The software license is activated by the system automatically during the Cinegy DANIEL codec installation provided the license file (LIC) has been placed to the same directory as the installer package file (MSI).

After installation, the license file is automatically moved by installer to the following location on your computer:

C:\ProgramData\Cinegy\Software Licenses\Cinegy DANIEL Codec

Important
Please mind that ProgramData is a system folder and its visibility may be disabled in your Windows operating system settings. Please refer to the Show hidden files article of the Microsoft support website to find out how to manage folders display.

If you already have Cinegy DANIEL codec installed with no license file placed next to the MSI file, do the following:

  1. Locate the CinegyDANIEL64.msi and *.lic files to the same directory.

  2. Run the CinegyDANIEL64.msi file. Press "Next" in the setup wizard that appears.

  3. Press the "Repair" button on the following step:

    installer_repair

In the wizard dialog that appears, press "Repair" to confirm you decision to reinstall Cinegy DANIEL codec with new license.

  4. Wait until the repair progress is complete.

  5. Press "Finish" to exit the setup wizard.

Note
The codec installer checks the ProgramData folder for licenses and adds the missing one. If the folder contains any other license files, the installer picks up a valid one and uses it.
