Profiles and schemas allow you to save your ingest session settings. This is especially convenient when you have to ingest several different productions, as you can simply select a profile or schema, and all your predefined settings will be loaded into the Cinegy Ingest plug-in.

Creating Profiles

You can easily create profiles for input and output devices, encoders and Roll info settings.

Input Profiles

To create a profile for input and output devices, follow these steps:

  1. Enter your settings as described in the Setting Up an Ingest Session section.

  2. Select the "Input Profiles…​" command from the ingestor main menu:

  3. Press the Addbutton to receive the following dialog box:

  4. Enter a name for your input device profile.

  5. Beneath the name you will see all your device settings. Check if they are correct. You can also enter a comment.

  6. Again press the Addbutton to save your profile and add it to the profiles list.

The newly created input profile is added to the profiles list. You can select the profile in the list and then you will receive all the information below as well as your comment.

To rename your profile, select it in the list, press the "Name" button, and enter a new name.

DelButton

To delete a profile, select it in the list, and press the "Del" button.

QuitButton

Exit the dialog by pressing the "Quit" button.

Plug-in Profiles

To create a profile for your encoder settings, follow these steps:

  1. Enter your settings as described in the Setting Up an Ingest Session section.

  2. Select the "Plugins Profiles…​" command from the ingestor main menu:

  3. Press the Addbutton to receive the following dialog box:

  4. Enter a name for your encoder plug-in profile.

  5. Beneath the name you will see all your encoder settings. Check if they are correct. You can also enter a comment.

  6. Again press the Addbutton to save your profile and add it to the profiles list.

The newly created plug-in profile is added to the profiles list. You can select the profile in the list and then you will receive all the information below as well as your comment.

  6. Again press the Addbutton to save your profile and add it to the profiles list.

The newly created Roll info profile is added to the profiles list. You can select the profile in the list and then you will receive all the information below as well as your comment.

Using Ingest Profiles

Applying your profiles is very easy. Simply press the desired profile button:

Having selected a profile, all your predefined settings will be loaded into the Cinegy Ingest plug-in. The chosen profile name is also displayed in the status display:

Note that if you select a profile and modify any of the predefined settings, the status display will reflect these changes by saying that the profile is "Based on:" followed by the profile name in brackets.
