Schemas

Schemas are as straightforward as the profiles. The difference is that a schema is a collection of profiles; whereas a profile is a collection of Cinegy Ingest plug-in settings.
There are two types of schemas:
Local Schemas
Creating
The procedure is very similar to that of profile creation.
Create your ingest profiles.
Select the "Schemas…" command from the ingestor main menu:
The following dialog box appears:
Press the
button to receive the following dialog box:
Select the profiles from the drop-down list and select the corresponding checkboxes to define which profiles should be included in your new local schema.
Enter a name for your local schema.
If you wish, you can also enter a comment.
Again press the
button to save your local schema and add it to the local schema list.
The newly created schema is added to the local schema list. You can select the local schema in the list; below you will receive all the information (profile names) as well as your comment.

To rename your local schema, select it in the list, press the "Name" button, and enter a new name. | |
To delete a local schema select it in the list, press the "Del" button. | |
Exit the dialog by pressing the "Quit" button. |
Global Schemas
Creating
To make a global schema from the local one, follow the steps below:
Select the "Manage global schemas…" command from the ingestor context menu:
This command will open the following dialog box:
Select the schema from the "Local schemas" list and press the
button. The newly created global schema will be added to the "Global schemas" list:
To rename your global schema, select it in the list, press the "Name" button, and enter a new name. | |
To delete a global schema select it in the list, press the "Del" button. | |
Exit the dialog by pressing the "Quit" button. |
To apply the changes made to the global schema(s), restart all the Cinegy Desktop clients using these schemas.
Using Ingest Schemas
Applying a schema is very easy. Simply press the "Schema" button. |
When the "Schema" button is pressed, the list of available schemas appears. The global schemas will be displayed under the horizontal line:

Having selected a schema, all your profiles with their respective ingest settings will be loaded into the Cinegy Ingest plug-in. The chosen schema name and profile name are then shown in the status display:

Note | Note that if you select a schema and modify any of the predefined settings, the status display will reflect these changes by saying that the profile is "Based on:" followed by the name in brackets. |
