The RTP TS capturer allows you to ingest the material directly from the RTP stream inside Cinegy Desktop. Select "RTP TS Capturer" from the input device list.

Press the "Setup" button next to the hardware device; the following dialog box appears:

In this dialog box you can configure the following settings:

  • TV format – defines the target TV format by selecting the format from the drop-down list.

  • Audio tracks – defines the number of audio channels to be ingested from the stream.

  • Multicast interface – defines the IP address of the local network adapter that should be used to get the stream. It can be useful if you need to divide the multicasting subnet from the working subnet. Set the "Multicast interface" parameter to 0.0.0.0 to use all the adapters.

    Select the "Any" checkbox to use all the adapters.+ NOTE: The "Any" parameter effects the unicast mode only.

    Select the "Ignore timecode breaks" and "Ignore aspect ratio" checkboxes to enable the corresponding functions.

Press "OK" to save your settings or "Cancel" to exit the dialog.

Selecting an RTP Stream

Press the "Eject" button to select the RTP source stream. The following "RTP Source" dialog box appears:

You can select the source channel by using the Cinegy Channel Directory Server or you can manually enter the stream parameters in the "Manual setup" tab.

Enter the Channel Directory Server IP address or network name of the video streams, registered on the Channel Directory Server, or enter the "localhost" if the Channel Directory Server is installed on your PC locally. Press the "Browse" button to connect to the specified Channel Directory Server and browse for the registered streams.

At the bottom of the window you can see the RTP URL of the selected channel.

Note
The RTP URL address is automatically generated according to the channel settings.

Manual Setup Tab

On the "Manual setup" tab, the RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) network settings should be configured.

Network Settings

  • Broadcast mode – here choose the broadcast transmission method (unicast or multicast).

  • Listen port – here define the port that is being listened to.

  • Source IP address – here enter the source IP address that generates the IP stream.

    Select the "Any" checkbox to use the first stream addressed to the playout station.

  • Multicast IP address – here enter the IP address of the multicast source that will be used for multicasting.

Pid Values

In this configuration group, set up the service ID, video and audio values.

At the bottom of the window, you can see the RTP URL of the selected channel.
