The plug-in allows you to ingest file-based video material. Select "Video File Capturer" as the input device from the corresponding list.
Press the "Setup" button next to the hardware device; the following dialog box appears:
Choose your target video system from the drop-down control and select the desired field order. If you wish, you can also define the starting point by entering a timecode. To do this, use the numeric pad and then hit the Enter key from the numeric pad to accept your timecode settings. If you want to use a separate audio file, search and select the audio file, which will overwrite the audio part in the video file.
Selecting a File
Press the "Eject" button to load a new file; the file dialog box appears. Choose the file and press "OK"; the file will be loaded in the plug-in.
The following file formats are supported:
AVI Files (*.avi)
MPEG Files (*.mpg, *.mpeg, *.m2v)
Windows Media Files (*.wmv)
QuickTime Files (*.mov, *.dv, etc)
|Direct transcoding is supported for QuickTime DV files.|
The loaded file behaves as a tape loaded in a VTR. You can rewind and play the file.
|The ingest process will start from the current frame of the file.|
