Cinegy Newswire Service configuration is performed using Newswires Service Config. It has dedicated tabs for configuring the data source, specifying logging parameters and managing wires. The configurator can be found from Start > All Programs > Cinegy > Cinegy Newswire Configuration.
Cinegy Newswire Service connects to the database via Cinegy Archive Service. Navigate to the "Data source" tab to define the Cinegy Archive Service connection details:
Url – the URL of the machine where Cinegy Archive Service is running;
Server – defines the server where the Cinegy Archive database is located;
Database – specifies the Cinegy Archive database;
Domain – defines the domain name;
User – specifies the user name;
Password – defines the password.
Having specified all parameters, press the "Check connection" button to verify the connection.
The following status indicator shows that the settings are correct. Otherwise the window with the error message will be displayed.
Cinegy Archive Service configuration settings can be saved by pressing the "Save" button.
On this tab the log files creation parameters are defined:
Log level – defines the level for the log file. You can choose between "Full", "Partial", "Custom" level or "None" for no logging.
Log folder – defines the location of the log file where the sequence of operations is recorded. Initially the default log folder defined by the system is indicated in the given field. To change it, press the "Browse…" button and select the folder where the debug log file in the text format will be stored or simply enter a desired location path via the keyboard.
Custom debug level – the settings belonging to this group are available for the custom logging level. You can manually choose the debug log level by changing values of trace level (0 – 5) and error level (0 – 5).
New log level every – defines how often a new log file is created.
This tab allows to add, edit and remove wires:
Press the "Add…" button to create a new wire:
Specify the display name for the wire and choose the provider.

In the "Source Path" field define the directory where new feeds are watched for. To temporarily disable the wire watching, deselect the "Active" checkbox.
The RSS feeds are also added with the help of this dialog. For this select the "RSS Feeds" from the "Provider" drop-down list and specify the RSS feed URL address in the "Source Path" field:
You can add as many wires or RSS feeds as required.
Press this button to edit the selected wire or RSS feed.
Press the "Remove…" button to delete the selected wire or RSS feed.
