Release Date: February 03, 2022

Caution
Before you start the installation, it is recommended to uninstall any previous versions of Cinegy Multiviewer components that you may have on your machine.
Caution
UPDATE 14/02/22: Due to recent changes in Cinegy Multiviewer (moving scaling and alarms processing to GPU pipeline) it is advised that care should be taken before upgrading to this version from v15. Unless overall GPU capacity on your Cinegy Multiviewer server is higher than CPU, please test your workflow thoroughly before upgrading to avoid performance issues. There are changes planned for the next point release to address this.
Note
System memory and resources leak when creating and closing threads with NVIDIA graphics drivers starting from version R525. The issue is reported to NVIDIA support (NVIDIA Incident Report 4027304). We recommend using the previous version of NVIDIA graphics drivers and verify the resources usage after drivers upgrades.

New Fixes

  • fixed displaying of "Video Black Alert" when "GPU decoding" for input stream is enabled (defect 15442, ticket LIY-998-60470)

  • fixed issue with alarm notifications not using a correct security protocol type TLS v1.2 when sent to Telemetry server (defect 15294)

  • fixed issue with PTS break error which occurs when decoding H.264 GPU stream using NVIDIA cards with latest drivers (defect 15322)

Important Known Issues

Note
These limitations will be addressed in the next releases.
  • NVIDIA RTX and other Turing-generation GPU boards no longer support interlace H.264 encoding. This applies to all versions of any Cinegy software supporting GPU encoding and is a hardware limitation of the NVIDIA boards. Pascal and earlier boards are not affected. If using GPU accelerated NVIDIA features, please be careful to match your settings to the capabilities of your board.

  • NDI Audio only streams fail to play. (defect 15231)

  • Incorrect decoding of streams containing the CC-708 format for closed captions when text is aligned in the center. Processing of the СС-608 stream works as expected. (defect 15479, ticket VOO-241-57571)

  • Blackmagic Design DeckLink video cards occasionally play video without sound or with distorted sound on output. Before using Blackmagic Design DeckLink cards for critical installations 24/7, extensive testing must be carried out in advance.
