Operating Systems Support
Cinegy Route runs on the following operating systems: Windows 7 32 bit / 64 bit SP1, Windows 8.1 x64 Pro, Windows 10 x64 Pro, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2.
Operating system recommendation: Windows 10 x64 Pro / Windows Server 2012 R2 (for HD operations it is recommended to use 64 bit OS with at least 6GB of RAM).
|Cinegy products work only on machines with CPU supporting minimum instruction set SSE4.1|
Standard IT hardware. Preview decoding of video streams on client stations will require variable processing power depending on video stream raster, encoding, profile and bitrates. A modern i7 desktop CPU should comfortably decode any SD/HD material possible. HEVC encoded streams are not currently supported in the preview display.
For reliable multicast operation, we recommend video traffic is carried over a separate network (or at least a separate network adapter). If the client tools are not installed as well, the server hosting the Channel Directory Service / Relay does not require access to the video multicast data.
Recommended Microsoft Hotfixes
Depending on the operating systems you are using, certain hotfixes installation may be required for proper Cinegy software performance. The corresponding hotfix downloads are available by the references given below.
This reliability improvement update for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 fixes problems with locks and hangs of software threads which may affect Cinegy Software. It also fixes problems with usage capacities with CPUs in low-power states.
This update for Server 2012 R2 can fix issues if a customer is experiencing unexpected server crashes (complete OS crash) with Stop error message 0xD1, 0x139 or 0x3B, due to problems enumerating installed network cards.
