Cinescore is a part of the Cinegy Support Tools package. It is aimed at assessing the user machine performance through benchmarks. Test results are reported in graphical representation. The obtained results analysis enables user to determine whether the computer running this tool has optimal performance for particular tasks.
Once the Support Tools installation is complete, the Cinescore icon is placed on the desktop. Double-click the icon to launch the application. The following window appears:
Basic information about the machine, on which Cinescore is started, is displayed in the "About this computer" section:
This section presents a summary view of basic details about the current machine, including info about the operating system this computer is running, both central and graphics processing units models, as well as the amount of random-access memory (RAM) installed and the Cinegy Cinecoder version being used.
Use the "Test suite" option to define whether the HD or UHD TV format will be used for benchmarks.
Press "Run tests" to measure the average CPU/GPU load and check the PC frame rate.
In case sample video for testing is missing on your computer, the following message appears:
Follow the instructions in the message to make your machine ready for tests; press "Run tests".
The utility reads a sample footage into RAM, and then encodes it automatically.
Upon the tests completion, the results are automatically reported in graphical representation. The received information is split into tree tabs within the "Results" section with the average characteristics of the frame rate, CPU and GPU load displayed accordingly:
Press "Save" to save the results for further comparison and/or analyses. The results will be saved to the defined folder in the CSR file format.
Press "Load" to load test results that can be used for benchmark analysis. The results will be loaded from a previously saved *.csr file.
You can make the test results from any reference machine(s) available for comparison. To do this, copy files with the results for HD and UHD test suites into the corresponding HD and UHD folders in the "ReferenceMachines" directory of your Cinescore installation folder as illustrated below:
Select the referenced machine(s) to compare your results with:
Each referenced machine is displayed on the graph in a different color with the legend shown on the right.
The average frame rate measurement is displayed individually for each profile.
Check the "Compare" option and choose the reference machine to compare your results with. The FPS benchmark analysis is displayed in graphical representation:
Average CPU Load
The results of the average CPU (Central Processing Unit) load on the machine are displayed individually for each profile. With the "Compare" option checked, the results are compared with the referenced machine CPU load:
Average GPU Video Engine Load
The results of the average GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) video engine load on the machine are displayed here. With the "Compare" option checked, the GPU comparison with the referenced machine is displayed:
