Caution
We recommend updating Windows OS to include the latest Microsoft updates and hotfixes.
Note
Check the availability of the minimal recommended driver version 456.81 or newer for your particular NVIDIA card for Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system.
Caution
Cinegy Title version 22.12 contains support for the latest NVIDIA boards which are only supported in newer NVIDIA drivers which, in turn, require a newer SDK to be utilized. This therefore means that the Cinegy Title v22.12 release requires a minimum NVIDIA driver version 456.81. Until other Cinegy software products are updated to utilize the newer NVIDIA SDK (such as Cinegy Capture and Cinegy Multiviewer), customers should, where possible, avoid running them on the same machine as Cinegy Title. Please ensure that you have confirmed, that the OS under which you are running Cinegy Title and the model of NVIDIA board which you are using are supported in the version of the NVIDIA driver you choose before starting any upgrades.
Note
Please perform the process of NVIDIA drivers update only upon stopping Cinegy applications. For detailed instructions on installing NVIDIA driver, please refer to the NVIDIA Drivers installation article.

Hardware Recommendations

Note
Please note that GPU acceleration may work with some limitation when connecting the machine using remote access tools. We do not recommend using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to work with Cinegy Title Editor on Windows Server 2012 R2 due to some protocol limitations related to GPU acceleration. In some cases, you may need to connect a video card to a monitor or use a display emulator. For example, when connecting via TeamViewer.
Note
Cinegy Title Editor is distributed as a free-standing product, as it is shared by multiple various Cinegy products and therefore has dedicated release notes and version numbering. Please check the release notes of supported Cinegy products to determine which minimum supported Cinegy Title Editor versions are compatible.
Note
Cinegy products work only on machines with CPU supporting the minimum instruction set SSE4.1.

Cinegy Title Editor can work with any video adapter which supports Direct3D 11 acceleration.

Note
After installing a dedicated graphics card, please disable the onboard graphics card (e.g. Matrox) using the Windows Device Manager > Display Adapters and selecting the "Disable device" option for that card.
Note
In case when an NVIDIA Quadro board is used, make sure that it is installed into a full-length PCIe x16 Gen.2 or Gen.3 slot. Also, check that an NVIDIA driver is up to date (the latest NVIDIA boards require the minimum NVIDIA driver version 456.81 and a newer SDK to be utilized) and its 3D Mode is set to Video Editing. The "Prefer maximum performance" value should be used for the "Power management mode" parameter in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

We recommend that the power plan in Windows OS is set to "High Performance".

Any media reference within Cinegy Title scenes should be valid and this media should be placed on a dedicated solid-state drive or fast network location.
