Cinegy Media Services provides the Cinegy Workspace client with the thumbnails generation functionality. It is installed separately. However, for demo purposes it may be installed on the same machine as Cinegy Archive Service.
|If Microsoft .Net Framework 4 or higher is not installed on the system yet, you have to install it manually. You can dowload the installer from the Microsoft official web page.|
Follow these instructions to install Cinegy Media Services:
Run the "CinegyMediaServicesSetup.msi" file from your Cinegy Media Services installation folder; the following setup wizard appears:
Press "Next" to proceed with the Cinegy Media Services installation or "Cancel" to abort and exit the setup wizard.
Read and accept the license agreement and proceed with the installation.
In the next dialog box you will be asked to define the Cinegy Media Services hosting type. Keep the selection of Windows service:
|IIS integrated mode is an advanced option that should be carried out with direct help from Cinegy Support if such a feature is required.|
|If Microsoft IIS is not installed on the machine where Cinegy Media Services is being installed, the hosting type options will be grayed out.|
Press "Next" to proceed with the Cinegy Media Services installation process. On the next installation step you will be asked to define the installation folder for Cinegy Media Services. Leave the default directory or use the "Change" button to select a different destination folder.
In the next dialog that appears, define the account type that will be used by Cinegy Media Services to log on:
To log on under the local system account, set the corresponding radio button.
To assign the specific user account for service logon, set the radio button to "This account", enter user name and password.
If the defined user credentials are invalid, you will be informed about it with the corresponding message.
Once the log on account is specified, press "Next" to proceed.
Now you are ready to install Cinegy Media Services.
If you would like to change any of your settings, you can go back to the previous dialog boxes by pressing the "Back" button.
Press the "Install" button to start the installation process. A progress bar will show the progress of the installation process. When it is completed, press the "Finish" button to exit the setup wizard.
After the installation, Cinegy Media Services will be started automatically under the defined user as a Windows service:
