Item Properties

This dialog allows you to specify the properties for the selected item. To view and edit, if needed, item properties, select the item and choose the "Properties" context menu command. The following "Item properties" dialog box appears:

The "Properties" option is not available for Comment items.

This dialog contains two tabs that are described below.

General Tab

On this tab, general item properties are defined.

  • Name – assign the name of the selected item.

  • Trigger Type – redefine the trigger type (follow, clocked or join-in-progress) for the selected item.

  • Manual End – check this option to set the item trigger type to manual end.

  • Date Start – specify the start date for the clocked item (only available for clocked items). Uncheck the "Auto" option to specify the start date manually. Press the Date button and specify the start date for the following item:

Today’s date is marked with the blue frame, and the selected date is shown against the blue background. Navigate through the months with the ◂ and ▸ arrows.

It is not possible to set the start date in the past.
  • Start – set the start time for the clocked item. To do this, simply enter a new time in the "Start" field via the keyboard in the hours:minutes:seconds:frames format.

If the specified date or start time for the selected item has already passed, you will be informed about it with the following error message:

If the start time for the current item is later than the start time of the next clocked item, all items up to the next clocked item will be interpreted as "past due" and will be skipped from playing.

  • Duration – correct the duration of the selected live or dummy item.

The default duration for live and/or dummy items can be changed via preferences
  • In and Out – correct the In and Out timecodes manually. You should keep in mind that the new duration value cannot be higher than the original or less than 0.5 seconds.

This option is locked for live and dummy items.
  • Comment – edit a comment for the selected item.

  • Skipped – select the "Skip" checkbox to set the status for the selected item to "skipped". The current item will be skipped from playing in one of the control modes.

  • Original Aspect – define the original aspect ratio of the item.

  • Target Aspect – define the target aspect ratio for the video stream of the selected item.

  • Category – select the custom color category for the item.

Parameters Tab

On this tab, you can define the live source parameters as well as choose the audio matrix preset.

Refer to the Audio Profile Editor article to learn more about audio matrix presets.

For live items only, check the "RTP/UDP Live Source" option to use IP signal as the live feed for a live item playout. The live RTP/UDP/SRT input stream can be selected via the channel browser or via drag-and-drop of the RTP/UDP/SRT source URL from the Cinegy Route Browser into the "URL" field. You can also type in the RTP/UDP URL manually.

RTP/UDP/SRT Source Selection

The Cinegy Route Browser x86 cannot be opened in Cinegy Air PRO x64 due to technical limitations.

Use this command to select the live RTP/UDP/SRT input stream for the selected live item. All the present streams can be registered on the Route Directory Server. This server can be installed on any dedicated PC and can be used by all playout stations.

When you press the "Browse" button, the channel browser appears:

In the top field enter the "localhost" if the Route Directory Server is installed on your PC locally; otherwise enter the Route Directory Server IP address or network name if it is being used remotely. Press "Browse".

Having connected to the Route Directory Server, you can browse the registered streams as shown below:

To analyze the availability of the registered streams, press the "Analyze" button; unavailable streams will be grayed out in the channel browser tree.

Here select the RTP, UDP, or SRT source to be used for the currently selected live item as the live input stream.

Input Number

The input number defines a number of switchable inputs per channel within applicable video format.

Several inputs in one channel can be configured through simulcast configuration.

Here specify the number of the input device. The input number values start from 0; specifying 1 means that the input device signal is the second in the list, 2 means that the input device signal is the third in the list and so on:

Changing input number is not allowed during the broadcast.
RTP/UDP/SRT live input defined in the "Item properties" has priority over another input (SDI, NDI etc).

Hide CG layers

The "Hide CG Layers" functionality enables automatic CG layers deactivation of a particular item when its broadcast has already finished. Selecting the required options automatically deactivates the corresponding CG layers once the item broadcast is finished:

This functionality is available only for Cinegy Titler graphics.
