System Recommendations

Operating Systems Support (64-bit OS Required)

Cinegy Route software is certified to run on the 64-bit editions of the following operating systems: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, Windows 10, Windows 11.

Operating system recommendation: Windows 11 Pro, Windows Server 2022.

Caution
We recommend updating Windows OS to include the latest Microsoft updates and hotfixes.

Hardware Recommendations

Note
A modern GPU card is required for HEVC preview. Routing and registering the feeds is still possible without a card.

Standard IT hardware. Preview decoding of video streams on client stations will require variable processing power depending on video stream raster, encoding, profile and bitrates. A modern CPU should comfortably decode any SD/HD material possible.

Graphics Card

There are no particular requirements in regards to graphics cards unless the optional video output of such a card is supposed to be used as a control video monitor output. Any recent graphics card from NVIDIA will work.

Note
If you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, we recommend that you optimize its performance by setting the "Prefer maximum performance" value for the "Power management mode" parameter in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Caution
Cinegy Route 24.4 supports the latest NVIDIA boards, which require updated NVIDIA drivers and SDK. The minimal supported NVIDIA driver version is 456.81. Due to breaking changes in newer driver versions (R590 and newer), the latest supported driver branch is R580. Before starting any upgrades, ensure that the OS running Cinegy Route and the model of the NVIDIA board you are using are supported in the version of the NVIDIA driver you choose.

Network

For reliable multicast operation, we recommend video traffic is carried over a separate network (or at least a separate network adapter). If the client tools are not installed as well, the server hosting the Cinegy Route Directory Service / Cinegy Route Directory Relay Service does not require access to the video multicast data.
