Release Notes

Cinegy Process Coordination Service provides centralized storage for all types of resources used in your media processing workflow and acts as a central discovery service. It is mandatory for the Cinegy Convert operation, and as a separate product must be installed independently before configuring and using Cinegy Convert.

The Cinegy Convert package components are:

  • Cinegy Convert Agent Manager
This component provides the actual processing power for Cinegy Convert. It launches and manages local agents to execute tasks registered in the Cinegy Process Coordination Service.

  • Cinegy Convert Watch Service
This component monitors configured file system directories and/or Cinegy Archive job drop targets and registers tasks into the Cinegy Process Coordination Service for processing by Cinegy Convert Agent Manager.

  • Cinegy Convert Monitor
This component allows operators to monitor the work of the Cinegy Convert infrastructure and manually create new tasks if required.

  • Cinegy Convert Profile Editor
This utility enables the creation and adjustment of target profiles used in Cinegy Convert for transcoding task processing.

  • Cinegy Convert Client
This application offers a user-friendly mechanism for the manual submission of Convert tasks. It allows users to browse storages and devices for the media to be processed, review the actual media in the preview player, check item metadata with an option to modify it before importing, and submit the task for processing.
