Desktop edition of Cinegy Capture is a lightweight version of the full-featured standalone Cinegy Capture Pro and is tied to the Cinegy Desktop license. Therefore, Cinegy Desktop must be running when using Cinegy Capture Control.
The license name and its status are displayed in the "Main" panel of Cinegy Capture Manager:

If Cinegy Desktop stops running on the machine where a Capture Engine is operating in Desktop mode, all ingest functions in Cinegy Capture Control will be disabled after a 15-minute grace period. The Capture Engine will then be unable to start new recordings and will abort any ongoing recording session. This licensing issue is indicated by a "No license" status in Cinegy Capture Manager:

The Desktop edition of Cinegy Capture provides the same resource capabilities as the full Cinegy Capture Pro version, but with some functional limitations.
