Time Controls
Reading time ~4 minutes
The on-air control panel has a variety of countdown and clock displays:
Countdown
This panel displays the countdown for an on-air item.
The "Countdown" time that has passed after the scheduled item end is displayed in gray when an item is completely played back and the following item has not been launched yet (for example, on-air item has a manual end trigger or it is the last item in the playlist, etc.).
The time is counting up in this state.
On-Air Item Time
This is the count-up field which shows how long the item has been broadcast on air. The on-air progress bar is at the bottom.
When an item is completely played back and the following item has not been launched yet (for example, an on-air item has a manual end trigger or it is the last item in the playlist, etc.), this field displays in gray the value equal to the item duration plus the time that has passed after the scheduled item end:
On-Air Item Timecode
To switch the "On-Air Item Time" field to display the current timecode of the item being broadcast on air, use the "On Air" counter" command from the "View" main menu:
Once the "Timecode" option is selected, the count-up field will show the timecode of the on-air item:
Cued Item Start
This panel displays the actual start time of the cued item.
System Clock
The system clock is displayed in the right upper corner of the time control panel. The present date and current time in a 24-hour format are represented on the system clock indicator.
Note
|
Please note that the clock is set to display time defined via channels configuration |
Air Counters
The Air Counters plugin provides a collection of countdowns, including the time remaining until the start of a live item, the time left for the playback of a selected item, and the time difference between the planned start of an item and its current scheduled time. This plugin is enabled via the "Plugins" main menu.
The Air Counters window can be docked as a separate panel. To do so, click the window caption and drag it to the desired position.
Time To Live
This counter displays the countdown to the next live item in the playlist after the currently selected playlist item.
Below the countdown, the scheduled start time and name of the next live item are displayed.
Pressing the button brings the next live item to the middle of the visible playlist window.
Planned Start Difference
In certain workflows, it can be helpful to define and monitor the pre-planned start time of a playlist item. To do this, enable the "Planned Start" column in the playlist.
Important
|
Refer to the Column Management section for details on enabling playlist grid columns. |
Initially, this column is empty. To set a planned start time, double-click inside the column. The scheduled date and time will be automatically populated for the item.
Change the date and time according to your plans:
The difference between planned and scheduled time is displayed in the "Planned Start Diff" counter:
If the planned time is earlier than the scheduled time of the item, the difference is negative:
Clicking the button centers the selected item within the visible playlist window.
To simplify tracking the time remaining until the start of an item with a planned start time while working on the playlist, you can highlight such item in the playlist grid by clicking the blue lock icon in the "Planned Start Diff" field. Once locked, the item is highlighted in blue for easy identification:

Time To Selected
This counter displays the time remaining until the start time of the currently selected item in the playlist grid.
Below the countdown, the scheduled start time and name of the selected item are displayed.
Pressing the button brings the selected item to the middle of the visible playlist window.
To monitor the time remaining for a specific item while continuing to work with the playlist, you can lock the item of interest to the "Time to Selected" countdown by selecting the item in the playlist grid and clicking the green lock button. Once locked, the corresponding playlist item is highlighted in a different shade of green for easy identification:
