Cinegy Archive is a centralized media asset management system that allows simultaneous access and collaborative work with media assets for all users. New media assets can be registered in Cinegy Archive via Cinegy Desktop using the following methods:

  • Live streams can be captured using the Capture Control plugin.

  • File-based sources can be captured using the Cinegy Convert plugin.

The schematic interaction between Cinegy Archive and Cinegy Capture is illustrated below:

The Capture Control plugin is included by default in the Cinegy Capture installation package and should be installed on the machine where Cinegy Desktop is running. Once installed, it becomes available in the "Modules" section of the main Cinegy Desktop toolbar:

The Capture Control plugin launches the Cinegy Capture Control application in a separate window. Due to the licensing mechanism, it is required to keep Cinegy Desktop running when working with Cinegy Capture Control.

The Desktop edition of Cinegy Capture is a lightweight version of the full-featured standalone Cinegy Capture Pro and is linked to the Cinegy Desktop license. It is designed for basic ingest tasks and seamlessly integrates into the Cinegy Desktop workflow.

The Desktop edition of Cinegy Capture is a streamlined media ingest system that provides high-quality, multi-format recording capabilities and is accessed directly from Cinegy Desktop. It supports the simultaneous generation of high-resolution and low-resolution files and can automatically register the captured media as Rolls in the Cinegy Archive database. Once recorded, these media assets become instantly available for collaborative use in Cinegy Desktop.
