The caption also contains the following buttons for engine management:

add_template_button

Pressing this button forces adding the engine to the group of active engines.

Important
Refer to the Gang Control Panel article for details.

remove_engine_button

This button disconnects the corresponding Cinegy Capture engine service and removes the engine from the engines panel.

Real-time Preview Mode

This option can be used to reduce network traffic and CPU usage.

Right-click your engine or anywhere within the preview window and select the corresponding preview mode from the context menu:

Realtime_preview_mode
  • All preview windows – plays the incoming video in real-time both in all engine previews on the engines panel and on the main preview.

  • Current channel only – plays the incoming video in real-time only in the currently selected engine preview on the engines panel and the main preview; the outstanding engine previews are displayed in "Image" mode (with a 1-second update rate).

  • None – plays the incoming video in "Image" mode (with a 1-second update rate) both in all engine previews on the engines panel and on the main preview.

Note
It is recommended to use either "Current channel only" or "None" preview mode to reduce the system load.

Video Streams

Each engine supports multiple video stream previews.

Important
Refer to the Preview Settings paragraph to learn how to add and set up video stream previews.

Right-click your engine or anywhere within the preview window and select the appropriate video stream preview from the context menu:

Video_streams
Note
By default, the first active video stream preview configured via the Preview Settings configuration window is played in the preview window.

In the preview window, hover the mouse pointer over the preview item in the list to display a tooltip with information, such as the URL address or input name according to its type of preview:

Audio Indication

When working in RTP and Shared RAM preview modes, audio playback is enabled. To display audio indicators, right-click your engine and select the corresponding context menu option:

Show_audio_indicators

The VU meter(s) will be shown on the right of the engine window. The number of audio indicators depends on the number of input audio channels specified via the Capture Engine Configuration wizard:

engine_audio_indicators

Each VU meter shows peak and integrated audio levels in the dB scale as the master output for all the enabled audio channels mixed together.

There is an individual speaker button below each audio scale. The speaker buttons allow the user to mute corresponding audio channels.

On_audio

To mute audio, press the speaker button.

No_audio

Press this button once again to turn the audio back on.

On-screen Deinterlacing

The computer screen is progressive and may not display interlaced video correctly. Cinegy Capture uses built-in deinterlacing features of your video adapter. Therefore, the deinterlaced image quality may vary depending on your board and driver.

Right-click your engine or anywhere within the preview window and select the corresponding deinterlacing mode from the context menu:

Deinterlace_preview

Compact Dashboard Mode

In this mode instead of a real-time preview some important information about the engine and ingest status is displayed:

Compact_dashboard_mode

The dashboard size is controlled in the same way as in Preview mode – by the columns bar. The number of rows may vary depending on the preview size. If the size becomes too small to display the information, it shows nothing.

Detailed Dashboard Mode

In this mode both real-time preview and additional information are available. The panel displays a list of dashboard elements, one engine per row:

Detailed_dashboard_mode

The layout can be automatically adjusted according to the panel size, which can be changed by the zoom bar or by the width of the preview panel. In this case, CPU/GPU meters are hidden, and the right info column disappears:
