Multichannel Variation

In workflows where multiple broadcast channels share a common playlist, it is often necessary to introduce regional differences such as local news, commercials, or other region-specific segments without disrupting the overall synchronization between channels. Multichannel variation mode provide an efficient solution for this purpose.
The multichannel variation mode allows several channels to follow the same master playlist while maintaining their own dedicated segments for region-specific content. During these segments, the main playlist’s material can be replaced with regional content.
This structure ensures that all channels stay aligned in timing and sequence, simplifying playlist management and guaranteeing seamless transitions across both shared and localized programming.
Channels Configuration
In the Cinegy Air Configurator, the same playlist should be defined for all channels. The "Shared playlist" option will become disabled for these channels.
On the Cinegy Air control application start, select both channels to control:

Fill the playlist with content that is common for both channels. The first block in the playlist should be a normal block. Then add block(s) that will have regional variation in content and set their type to "Multichannel Variation":
Fill the multichannel variation block(s) with corresponding items.

Switch to the second channel tab in the Cinegy Air control application:
The content in the normal blocks is the same as in the first channel; the multichannel variation block(s) are empty but retain the duration of the multichannel variation block(s) from the common playlist.
Fill the multichannel variation block(s) within the second channel with corresponding items:
If the multichannel variation block has a longer duration on one of the channels, the variance of duration is displayed in another channel:
