Cinegy Desktop supports layout templates that allow a user to quickly switch the entire work environment to suit his individual needs and workspace.

Press the "Layouts" button in the toolbar to access a list of layout templates for the current user profile, as well as layout controls:

Layout Types

There are three types of layouts, listed one below the other:

Layout types
  • Default layouts – delivered with the Cinegy Desktop package and become available after the first launch of Cinegy Desktop.

    Note
    Default layouts cannot be changed or deleted.
  • Public layouts – should be saved as 'public' to become available for all Cinegy Desktop users.

  • Private layouts – created individually and are accessible to the owner user only.

You can switch between layouts by clicking the one you want in the drop-down list.

Layout Management

The following commands are available for the current layout:

  • Save Changes to this Layout – saves the changes to the current layout.

    Note
    This command is only topical for public and private layouts.
  • Reset to Saved Layout – reverts the current layout to the last saved state so that all unsaved changes will be discarded.

    This command is only topical for public and private layouts.
  • Reset to Default Layout – reverts the current layout to the default state so that all layout changes will be discarded.

    Note
    This command is only topical for default layouts.
  • Save as New Public Layout – saves the current layout as a new public layout.

    Note
    To save layouts as public, you need an "Edit a global profile" permission granted through Cinegy Archive Manager.
  • Save as New Layout – saves the current layout as a new private layout.

  • Delete Layout – deletes the current layout.

    Deleting public layouts requires an "Edit a global profile" permission granted through Cinegy Archive Manager.
  • Move this Layout Up – moves the current layout in the list one position up.

  • Move this Layout Down – moves the current layout in the list one position down.
